I did not think it was funny at the time (with several little ones in tow including a sleeping baby)! I threatened him, not so nicely, that he better get it out so we did not end up taking a several hour detour to the ER. He eventually did manage to get it out! We also have had a little one get a blade of grass stuck in their throat and wads of toilet paper stuck in the nose. Kids can be so strange!Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11739824547772179701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2295929005439567974.post-23109977215388872112008-03-14T06:49:00.000-04:002008-03-14T06:49:00.000-04:00Now that is really funny!! Finally, enough people complained to her and she took him to the doctor!
;)KatAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2295929005439567974.post-1006657361844495142008-03-13T20:51:00.000-04:002008-03-13T20:51:00.000-04:00Sissy put a pea up her nose at the dinner table on...Sissy put a pea up her nose at the dinner table one night. When I frantically called the pediatrician because I couldn't get it out, she couldn't stop laughing at me! Finally, when she caught her breath, she told me to squeeze enough saline up Sissy's nostril that it would push it back through the other side. I guess it worked because we didn't get a pea patch growing out of her nose!Saralynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08315084570904980269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2295929005439567974.post-7145203262674361352008-03-13T20:33:00.000-04:002008-03-13T20:33:00.000-04:00I know most kids put things up their nose, but min...I know most kids put things up their nose, but mine like to be different, I guess. They like to put their fingers into odd places and then they can't get them out. Izzi got her finger stuck in a play tube at Holiday World and employees had to come help get her out. It took over an hour. Wil would kill me for telling you this, so shhhh! But last month, the kids were listening to me read out loud and Wil, especially, has always had the habit of just doing weird stuff without thinking about it when he's preoccupied. Well, that day he was playing with one of those plastic magnetic letters. You know, the ones on your refrigerator for little hands to play with? He got his finger stuck in a letter 'a' so badly, that it cut off his circulation and after about 45 minutes and butter and oil and lotion and cold water, his finger was so swollen and he was crying in pain. I tried to cut it off but couldn't without cutting him so I was going to take him the emergency room. The fact that he WANTED me to despite what was sure to be a hugely embarrassing thing told me how bad it hurt and how desperate he was. We stopped by my parents house on the way there, and my dad was able to use various tools and finally got it off. :-)Snizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12609352449272402863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2295929005439567974.post-56345424698414552702008-03-13T18:17:00.000-04:002008-03-13T18:17:00.000-04:00My brother packed his nose with peas one Thanksgiv...My brother packed his nose with peas one Thanksgiving. However, Tim is the master of nose cleaning out. The boys generally run FAST when they see him coming with a kleenex because they know a full scale operation is coming.JenniferLaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04744123525762682347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2295929005439567974.post-40514676536475577942008-03-13T08:32:00.000-04:002008-03-13T08:32:00.000-04:00I remember my sister sticking a tiny piece of stra...I remember my sister sticking a tiny piece of straw/wood from a wicker basket thingy up her nose...

And my brother used to snort in spaghetti noodles and cough them back out his mouth so half would be sticking out his mouth the other half still hanging out his nose.
