Yes, I will blog again

For those of you who for some unknown reason still stop by my blog I'm here to assure you that I will be back. I miss blogging and look forward to a steady return once we find a routine around here.

Where have I been?

1. Waiting patiently for the return of my laptop which crashed. This means blogging requires that I located to the upper corner away from the rest of the family on a very s.l.o.w. computer.

2. Following Sean around to his various speaking engagements. We've been to Chicago and Springfield, IL. Next week we are off to Michigan.

3. Enjoying an extended family reunion time with my family. 10 adults+ 15 kids+ five days= a whole lot of fun!

4. Slowly, but surely, getting the house in order and preparing for our school year to begin. 13 days!

5. Reading a lot of library books. After paying down our mammoth fine, we now have access to the wonder of books again. A lot of my reading has been about simplifying, living intentionally and better relating to my family in the midst of my responsibilities. Perhaps this has something to do with less blogging.

6. Loving extra time with Sean. Even though he's often busy working on his text book project, we've been able to slip away for a few lunches together and some fun times with the kids. We've certainly enjoyed some great movies once the kids are in bed.

All that to say, it's been a busy, yet, wonderful summer. If your still there, please leave a comment to just say "hi". It would make me feel better:)

Surprise! I read your blog faithfully, although I have vowed to stop in less frequently for my own time-management reasons (so you have blessed me with less temptation recently; thanks, sort of)! I love this blog because you have such insight, patience and warmth that I can appreciate and learn from as a mother, wife, family member, among the other roles that we all as women play. Thank you for adding light and calm to many of my days, and for keeping me a part of your lives there in Indy. Much love to all.

Monica, I enjoy your faith-filled thoughts and view on your faith-filled family life. We have 5 little children and I also enjoy learning about living simply and intentionally. I am interested in the whole concept of doing things together, as a family rather than heading in tons of directions, constantly and at young ages (we have started sports teams and have a few birthday parties we attend, separate sunday school for now).

You're a great example to me in your budgeting and so forth...I need to learn more and have some savings goals.

Can I have permission to copy your "Corem Deo" (spelling?) writing from your wedding? I would love to share that with my husband, written out for our anniversary. Mary Brooke in Atlanta

Mary, you may by all means use the Coram Deo writing. Happy Anniversary.

Glad things are going well for you!! I love spending time with Kevin watching movies after the kids go to bed. But Callie sometimes nixes that idea with fussiness through 10pm.
Have a great school year :D Miss you blogging!!

I'm still here, too! I've cut way back on my blog reading (and writing, which is clear if you've stopped my blog lately!) for time management purposes. But I do love your encouragement and insight. Keep writing - I'll pop in as I can!
