Taking a Break

I'm not going to be around much for a few weeks in terms of blogging. There are some things I need to attend to before the end of the year. But more than that, I'm in need of a time of "fasting" from this blog. I'm seeking some perspective as to where it should fit into my life. It's become quite a hobby for me and I fear it is taking priority over the relationships within my own home. And as all things go with me, it is becoming a place of comparison. So that being said, I need to step away for a while. But for those few readers of mine, I'll be back. See ya then.

I know exactly what you mean...I too have had to do the same thing. It's been great pulling back, even though I dearly miss my "cyber friends"! You will be missed! FYI - things are going great here in my house!! :-)

You will be missed! I hope this is a great time of fasting for you. I do hope that after the busy holiday season you'll be back!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Don't you know your blog is my FAVORITE? Ugh.

But because I love you and know you, I know you'll be blessed by your decision. I hope you'll come back. :)

I've definitely done the comparison thing- (even wrote about it on my blog today)- and it can stink. I think everyone goes through a time of trying to figure out the blog's role and how to balance things. I used to put more time in it than I do now, but the blog community is still one of the highlights of my life right now and and I've loved the writing aspect of it.

Praying for you, sweet friend.

Monica,

Bloggers always know what you mean! I am sure you have seen my various posts on and off of blogging. I feel like I finally found that balance - less pressure in my mind to visit blogs or keep up with mind. I find myself more focused on the here and now - course, being sick in the PM's has helped ;)

monica,
yes. God bless your decision, but you have really spurred me on to be a better steward with our money. it is so precious to be home with little ones.

It's always wise to keep priorities straight. I understand and feel like I've not been able to post or even read much this last few weeks. I'm also trying to get more sleep and less tube time.
Hopefully you will still have the hours you need at work and your blog fast will leave you energized and more connected with your beautiful fam (including that crazy superhero of yours)!
Blessings,
Andrea

Enjoy your break, Monica. May God bless you for your obedience and may you be encouraged by the notes of your friends who dearly love you and appreciate your wisdom and example. Love, Michelle

I love the new look. I do understand, Monica. That's what I did without even knowing I was doing it last month. I think actually only blogging or checking other blogs about every 10 days or more kinda counts as "blog fasting". Anyway, you will be missed. I hope you have a GREAT Christmas!!!

Good for you to seek some perspective
as to where it should fit into your life. I myself, should also look for that perspective. Being carried away in front of the computer monitor has always been "my bad habit" (according to my husband). It might taking over some quality moments with him; since romance must be built, not taken for granted...
Share your next insight, I'll be waiting...
